Bio-dyne is a patented name for live yeast cell extract. It is owned by the company that produces the product. If it is in the American Preparation H, it may be listed as LYC or LYCE. I don’t have a tube handy to look at.

What this ingredient adds to the product (this is my best guess) is that it would add a non-stinging source of alcohol that would help the other active ingredients penetrate the cell walls. This would speed up the cell’s absorption so the product’s effects on the skin area would happen faster.

Preparation H is made to shrink the swelling of tissues that are very tender and I’m sure this product would work well to reduce eye bags. It also works well to reduce the tenderness and swelling of a runny nose that is raw from being wiped and blown too much. It also reduces the redness so it helps you look better during allergy season.
